Just out of interest, William and Elizabeth had another child as well as Sophia and William. Ann Blore born 1834 Blithfield, Staffordshire. On the 1841 census she was living with her Fisher Grandparents in Staffordshire.

It's highly unlikely that Helina will be looking for any replies now as the last posting was 3 years ago

She may not be a member now either but you can try to make contact by clicking on her name and sending a message

If she still has the same email address she will receive it and can then reply

Hi Helina

I too am looking for Elizabeth FISHER baptised 15 May 1812 at Blithfield to William FISHER and Hannah (nee ABBERLEY) who married William BLOOR on 28 April 1834 @ Blithfield.

William baptised on 18 July 1813 @ Church Broughton, Derbyshire.

William's parents are Simon BLOOR who married Jane HARRISON 30 March 1807.

Their dgt., Ann, was baptised 17 Aug 1834 and is on the 1841 census living with her maternal grandparents William FISHER and Hannah in Lee Lane, Colton, Lichfield. By 1851 she is a Servant in household of Edward WOODROFFE at Bromley Park, Abbbotsd Bromley , Uttoxeter, Staffordshire and on 19 April 1856 she married Charles MYATT at St Mary the Virgin, Colton, Staffordshire.

The other children, Sophia and William, are on the 1841 census living with their paternal grandparents Simon BLORE and Jane at Bradley, Ashbourne, Derbyshire.

Please let meknow if you have been able to identify what happened to Elizabeth/when she died?

My interest is that Elizabeth's sister Ann FISHER baptised 23 Aug 1801 at Abbots Bromley married Charles KENT on 24 Feb 1835 at Milwich, Stone. The KENT family have a branch into my family (and a fellow researcher who has done a lot of research into the KENT family has asked me if I have anything on the FISHER family).

Also both I, and my husband's family are related to the same MYATT. This MYATT may or may not be related to the MYATT mentioned above (yet another name on the "to do" list at some point.

Any information will be appreciated, even if it is to identify that the death is for a "different" Elizabeth BLORE.

Regards
Aileen (nee WOOLLAMS)
Stafford

Just as well I checked my certificates before ordering the death certificate. I already have it and the Elizabeth who died in 1847 was a widow, her husband had been called John.

So back to square one.

helina Report 5 Mar 2013 17:34

Yes have just checked with the marriage certificate and William and Matilda married on the 27 Nov 1847, not 1845. So that death of Elizabeth Blore could well be my Great Grandmother x 2.

Another certificate needed. Thanks for your help.

Are you sure William remarried in 1845, and not 1847?

helina

Been thinking about it, its unlikely to be Elizabeth as William remarries in 1845.

This falls just before the remarriage, but there are several that fall post his second marriage, most but not all in Derbyshire.

They could have parted and she is living with someone else and taken his name?

How or where did you find that entry?

I did some research on the 1871 entry for Elizabeth Blore and think her parents where called George and Mary Blore.
