i am trying to find any information and any links to my nan and grandad joan mary elizabeth monk born 26.11.1923 in east ham. died 14.05.1973. her dads name was nathaniel john monk. married in 1955 to eric william knight. that is everything i know about her.
my grandad is eric william knight born 30.12.1913. died january 2003 ish.
they lived their married life in hornchurch essex and had 2 sons (andrew and david)
i am really struggling to get a lead and am not sure what to do as i can't find them in any records.

Her mother was a Powell,, Ethel M,,she married Nathaniel J Monk in 1919,West Ham.from a marriage match of both surname.

Look now for any more Monk births with the mothers maiden name as Powell they could be possbile siblings to Joan.
