Agree re "green leaf"!
My thought re Andrew and Sarah being Rev John's parents ....John B and Mary English may also be Andrews brother and I have other cases in my tree where a brother adopted his son to his wealthier brother/cousin as was common in that time. Is this a possibility?

Are you sure Rev. John Barnes who died 1818 is connected?, how is he mentioned in the Bible you have...(posted earlier is a link for his Will, these give valuable info. too)

And the same for John and Mary English, what details are written for their Marriage (when & where)...

(can't see why Rev. John would be 'adopted out', seems he did very well in Suffolk!)

Chris :)

(perhaps a lot of info. written in Bible to take in and digest)

Have been unable to find Andrew and Sarah Barnes, but have come across John Andrew Barnes in Suffolk. Finding it difficult working from Australia as not sure where places are located. Have discounted all previous theories re Rev John, just need Andrew & Sarah's details. I have come across a Barnes family in Suffolk ages ago who were quite well off but computer ate details.

If you do not know where places are just use google maps (or similar).
I keep it open all the time, and use it to find places and to look up distances between places.
I also google search on 'the placename' and 'genuki' for lots of information.
