thank you Jan, Thios is the only bit so far i have had soooooooo much trouble with, George appears to be everywhere and maried to everyone haha. i find it hard deciding which one is actually my george. I have found georges married to:

Jane Short
now a margaret and a mary

Presumably being a glassblower was a common trade?

Which adds to the confusion

I can see Herbert 1901 and 1911 but not 1891. It would be really useful to find him I think!
It is definitely the same George 1881 as his occupation is so distinctive - and 1843/44 is not significant.

I am back on here after some time with fresh eyes trying to trace my grandfathers birth and birth mother.
His father was George Knott Glassblower 1846, married to Margaret Fether 1845, ? Jane 1845.,? possibly Jane Short 1838.
I am completely stumped on this line. He was placed in an orphanage with his brother at en early age, maybe his mother died and his father remarried?. He was later taken out of the ophanage and became a baker some years later.
I can find no actual conclusive evidence to continue this line and would appreciate any help
