There is a tree on Ancestry for the family. It has a photo of Elizabeth nee Phillip with son Percy, who emigrated to Australia,

Only one birth coming up on scotlandspeople for an Alexander C Illingworth in 1900 and that is not in Aberdeen - it is in Kincardineshire and possibly refers to the Alexander in this family, although the age is wrong - possible mistranscription. All the rest of the family were born Old or New Machar, Aberdeen, except for John snr who was born Kenmore Aberdeenshire:

My father, Alexander Calder Illingworth born Aberdeen 29.8.1900, one of seven children, only sister, Isobel (Isabelle?) died in 'flu epidemic early 1900's. Older brother, John, Chief Constable of Cumberland/Westmoreland (now Cumbria) police1940's (I think). Father, possibly John too, Aberdeen stone-mason labourer, died about 1915. All other brothers emigrated to Australia at different times. Mother Elizabeth Philip, also from Aberdeen.

I should point out that only ONE of them was not born in Aberdeenshire............and he was born in Caithness

Scottish censuses 1841-1911 are on line..........

BMD's can only be accessed through Scotland's people website, which is pay-to-view.......and the availability of those records is much more restricted than the equivalent for England/Wales


If you give a more precise idea of what you're looking for, you'll undoubtedly get help
