1871 - On the original image, Richard's age looks more like 7

That 1911 census is interesting. The place of birth ( Burton Bradstock) and age for the mother ties in with my research but she was called Charlotte so where does the Ann Eliza come from??? Still it looks like the Hannah birth is probably the correct one which is a start.

I looked to see if Andrew had started off life as a Gardner, but had no joy with that either..

Thank you. I'd found the Hannah and like you had wondered if it might have been wriiten incorrectly on the census return.
This family did use different names on the census than that on birth records e.g. John was actually William J H Edginton and Richard was Frederick G R L Edginton so it may well be they are listed under completely different names but I just can't find anything for Andrew at all.

1911 some one has added a name correction to this one

I have one branch of my family that are giving me trouble!!!

I know of two children clearly shown in the 1871 census record (unable to find the 1881 census record) but I cannot find a birth record to match them. All other children in the family were baptised and have records but I can't find anything for these two.
The children were :

Andrew Edginton b c1867 Hendon, London - parentage unknown as John's first wife Harriett (nee Hemmings) had died in July 1866 and he didn't marry his second wife Charlotte (nee Gardner) until Sept 1868

Anna Edginton b c1869 Hendon, London - daughter of John and Charlotte Edginton nee Gardner

Is anyone able to shed some light on these birth records - I have checked for later records but seem unable to find anything for either of them later than 1871.
