Military Record from FMP

Could anyone with sub to FMP look and see if there is a record for this man.:

Alexander Philip/Phillips. Born in Alvah, Banffshire 1837.
Is missing from his family home in both 1851 and 1861.
Married in Edinburgh 1862 and was a Private in the Scots Guards, stationed at Piershill Barracks.
Depending on enlistment date. his next of kin may be his mother who will be either Mrs Margaret Phillips or McKenzie ( she remarried in 1859)
By 1871 he was a civilian.

Hi Gins,
Yes, that's him accouted for at 1851
I did expect that he would be a Farm Labourer somewhere in the Banff/Aberdeen area, but I missed this one.
He was also a farmer's son.

Pretty sure that's not him at 1861 in Culsamond.
His place of birth is too far out.
He married in Edinburgh in Apr 1862, as a serving soldier.
