Hi to all who replied. I understand that a son, George was born in Bristol in 1828. The family moved to Ferrybridge, Yorkshire and that Richard was trading there as a bottlemaker in 1851. A move to Bill Quay, Gateshead happened soon after.

My confusion is Richard, Georges father and where he was born and when etc. Thanks to all again.

Yes this does make sense . I have all census records and couldn't understand why the spouse name changed so often, now I know. Seemingly a lover of wedding cake !

27th March 1836. Bedminster St John, which sounds right given they were both born in Bristol.
