in fact if i can find he is born in st peter i will know he is definitely mine.i suddenly found i was following the wrong harmans through copying the first tree i got access to.i now find most of my harmans are exclusive to me.and it is the same case with this family.

What is Sarah's age on later censuses? If 59 years old in 1841 it would be rather difficult to have a 1-year old child.
Either an error in transcription or there are some grandchildren there?

I am aware of that, Reggie, but in his original post, Christopher names young Henry as a son, which is obviously not correct.
Fanny aged 4 would be pretty unlikely too.

Having looked at the original 1841 census, I think it is possible that the age given for Sarah Harman is 39 and not 59 as transcribed.

I base this on the probable death and burial of John Harman in 1850 followed by the marriage of Sarah Ann Harman (widow) on 12 May 1850 to Pierce Brett at St Lawrence, Ramsgate. Sarah Ann Harman's father was named as Abraham Haynes a Bricklayer.

One of the witnesses was Charlotte Mulder the daughter of John and Sarah Ann Harman under her married name.

On the following census returns Sarah Ann Brett was born in Folkestone but the date varies from 1804 to 1791!
