Hello, could I have a look up for Francis and Alice Almgill. Both born approximately 1786 and possibly at Danby Wiske, which will be in Northallerton district in Yorkshire. Also would it be possible to see if anyone can find Alice surname. I cannot find a marriage on familysearch. Thank you. PS Alice died 1848 and Francis died 1850 both at Danby Wiske.

Although Francis is a farmer on the 1841 census the York Herald dated June 10th 1848 reports on the death of Alice on the 2nd inst, in Danby Wiske, wife of Francis Almgill, postmaster.

ADDED: The same newspaper dated 29 April 1843 reports the death on 19th inst.of Alice (21), daughter of Francis Almgill.

Hello Marie, I suppose he could have changed occupation. Incidently, his son Simon is actually Samuel and he is a headmaster in Bedale in 1851. Maybe he was a "gentleman" farmer!

Possible baptism, again from Familysearch. Do you think they've mixed up her parents names and they should be Robert & Anne Kelsey?
