My father researced our family tree and this was as far back as he got. I think he probably always lived in Woodford, but I have no proof. The reason my father couldn't get back any further was this lack of information, which is why I am asking now.

His wife was Jane sawcutt Foscutt. I think we are decended from Thomas Rowe/Roe, which my father thought was his son. However on another website it looks like he only had a daughter Sarah Rowe 1785-1853.All a bit confusing, but that's why I'm having trouble!
