I've found a Military Record for William George Duke which looks like it could be your Ancestor .....he enlisted in England in 1915.

Wife was Mary Jane Poland nee Christopher a widow. Mary is listed as born 1906 and there is another child, Elizabeth b 1902 (not sure if this child was William's from a previous marriage or Mary Jane's)
