I'm not getting at the posters MC, as you say everything is in the public domain. I just wonder why Kevin doesn't contact the family if he has a legitimate reason for researching them.

Cicely may have died recently (or just moved) as the house was put on the market in May 2012, but both children are alive, kicking and on the ERs, daughter is also in the phone book.

MarieCeleste Report 30 Mar 2013 09:49

That's a fair point Flip - her husband's obit in 2011 does imply she was still alive then.

Although everything I've posted is in the public domain I'll delete as soon as Kevin confirms he has noted all of the information.

Flip Report 30 Mar 2013 09:10

It looks like Cicily is still alive, and in the phone book. If you are related wouldn't it be better to contact her rather than publish her life history on a public site?

HeyJudeB4Beatles Report 30 Mar 2013 08:32

Edward and Elizabeth's marriage - The Times: 1922 Marriage, 20 April 1922, at St Margaret's, Addington, Kent, Edward Eustace Hill, Chaplain, Bombay, son of the late Lt Col F J P Hill, 1st Royal Scots, married to Elizabeth Cator, only daughter of Lt Comdr B A Cator, of Orchards, West Mallin

So could Richard Eustace and Cicily Margaret be twins born in India?

HeyJudeB4Beatles Report 30 Mar 2013 08:27

Well this nails down Richard Eustace but ther'e not an England/Wales birth for him as far as I can see

Lieutenant, H.M.S. Glory died 28th January 1950
Son of Rev Edward Eustace and Elizabeth nee Cator of Bournemouth, Hampshire

Buried at Capuccini (Kalkara) Naval Cemetery, Malta

HeyJudeB4Beatles Report 30 Mar 2013 08:21

This is that marriage to Elizabeth Cator

Marriages Jun 1922 (>99%)
CATOR Elizabeth Hill Malling 2a 1735
CHAPMAN Alice M Stewart Malling 2a 1735
Cox Tom F Orwell Medway 2a 1735
HILL Edward E Cator Malling 2a 1735

Two children (listed above in the ER)

Births Sep 1923 (>99%)
HILL Mary E Cator Malling 2a 1352
Births Mar 1931 (>99%)
Hill John E Cator Malling 2a 1344

So just WHO are Cicily and Richard Wustace Cator Hill?

There is a tree on Ancestry has Richard Eustace as the son of Edward Eustace and Elizabeth born 01/06/1924. Also these two children (deceased) and a private one (still living) - maybe Richard and Cicily were twins? And born outside of England/Wales?

MarieCeleste Report 30 Mar 2013 07:17

Hi Kevin, it's quite confusing because there are two clergymen called Eustace Hill and just a few years apart in age.

Even more confusing is that there's the birth reg that BMD posted above for a Cecile MW Hill born 1912 but there doesn't appear to be a reg for the Cicely born 1924.
