Help to find Death details for WILLIAM HOBDAY

William Hobday was born around 1806 in Dallington Sussex. He married Deborah Haiselden. I have him and his family in 1841, 1851, 1861, 1871 and 1881 census records. Deborah died in 1887 in Battle Sussex and I can find no trace of William since! He is not residing with any of his children.
Would appreciate any help in locating death details for William so that I can purchase a certificate

You could buy the wife's death cert to see if she was described as 'wife' or 'widow'

That would reduce the time-scale for your search on freebmd

Thanks ... I have found on freebmd
He is recorded as born 1806 on 1841 census and 1802 in others

I'm assuming that he was listed as age 35 on the 41 census. On that census ages were rounded down to the nearest 5 or 0. He would have been 35-39 making him born 1802-1806.
