Two separate households, but all appear to be living at the same address, 14 Woodside Street, West Derby, Liverpool

Are the Davies sharing the house with the Griffiths?

Frances, the original images of the 1871 do show birthplaces and occupations but this detail is omitted from the transcription (don't know why). In this particular case her birthplace on 1871 is shown as Liverpool and her father John was a joiner.

Thank you patchem, Flip and Reggie, that seems to prove the relationship I am looking for.
Unfortunately the 1871 census on GR does not include place of birth and is therefore is slightly inconclusive - why I tried the 1881.
In the later census, after she is married, everything is fine. I think it is always the big leap from single to married that is essential to try and prove.

I am failing to find in the 1881 census

I have seen one in an Ancestry tree with parerents John and Elizabeth nee Gregory and I would like to prove this by census. Can anybody see her in 1881 please.
