If you are local you could try the actual parish register, but as GlitterBaby said, it is highly unlikely there will be more details. You could also try searching the records office for a marriage bond - they sometimes have the guarantor in the hope it could be his father.

it is him ,unfortunatley the only thing on this census is a n under born in this parish,
he died in 1843,
i have no clue where he came from or who is father was,that is why i posted about the marriage in the hope it would reveal something,

All you can do is hope they survive to the 1851 census - but it doesn't look like it - there's this James, but no Theodosia, and he is not born in county:

You will be lucky to find any of those details. Might say of this parish. Will not name parents. Most witnesses were probably not related and were usually some kind of church officials that attended most of the weddings.

please could someone look at a marriage for me it is james lockhart & theodosia day,13th dec 1802 tutbury staffordshire,

i have theodosia baptism at st phillips birmingham in 1781,
what i would like to know if possible is,

does it say where the groom is from & also the name of his father,
i have stuggled to find a place of birth for him ,
this is my grasping at straw's attempt to get the slightest bit of info on him.
