Wendy Rita Report 4 Apr 2013 03:05

Good Morning from Australia...I had a visit from a Clifford Relation from UK who is also searching the same family as me.
We are now stuck with a Thomas CLIFFORD b1683 M Mary Jenkins July 1706 Ashton Keynes.
His Mother was Alice/Ales d1702.

How do we progress from here !
Would kindly appreciate any help at all.

Thanks,
Wendy R

Since your getting to the Wilts Record Office is liikely to be a bit problematic for you, I think you'll have to rent a film(s) to view at your nearest FS Family History Centre.

A lookup at https://www.familysearch.org/catalog-search gets:

I had a look at http://www.wiltshirefhs.co.uk/ and they don't seem to have transcriptions of Ashton Keynes, but it would be worth checking with them.

Just wanted to make sure you're aware of the post-1837 local BMD indexes at:
http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/local_bmd
In particular:
http://www.wiltshirebmd.org.uk/
Although there's no transcriptions for Cricklade subdistrict, which is where I presume Ashton Keynes is, there are indexes for Ashton Keynes - Holy Cross, which can be very useful in resolving who wed whom for 1837-1911.
