1871 census at bottom of thread please

I have found a marriage :-

Marriages Mar 1917
Davies Edward Samuels Wrexham
11b 269

Samuels Elizabeth A Davies Wrexham
11b 269

who I believe are the parents of

Births Sep 1917
Davies Mary C Samuels Wrexham
11b 418

Births Mar 1920
Davies Shiela B Samuels Wrexham
11b 540

Births Mar 1922
Davies Julia P Samuels Wrexham
11b 425

but I don't know anything more about them. As they get married after 1911 I am a bit stuck. Do they, by any chance, show up as a marriage with fathers please?

This is my last throw before asking for a certificate!

Many thanks,
Frances

That is all you will find online you need a certificate to give you fathers name etc
unless you can find them in anyone's tree on here and can send the owner a message asking if they have any info

Thanks Jansmith, I have just been asked to meet the descendant on Monday so either he has a good memory or he is facing coughing up £9 !!

Thank you Jansmith, LadyKira and "Ann" plus Ann for alerting me to all this lovely info.
I have to tell you "Ann" that you got to me about 3 mins before I would have been in 'My Threads'. I always read my emails first! What sometimes throws me is when somebody posts on a thread from 2 years ago ....... All this because I am a serious addict to this family history sleuthing thing.

Frances Report 6 Apr 2013 09:20

I have now found

Marriages Sep 1891
Samuels Edward Oswestry
6a 1219

Evans Mary Ann Oswestry
6a 1219

which suggests that Thomas Evans 1857 is the brother of Mary Ann 1864, in the 1911 census. I need the 1871 to show that, with their parents please? Evans is not normally an easy name to trace in Wales but having potentially a brother and sister may ease the problem

Frances

Frances Report 6 Apr 2013 09:35

Looks like I was being optimistic as, from the single line search in 1891 :-

Evans Mary A 1865 Morda Oswestry, St Martin

is not a full match for

Evans Thomas 1857 Oswestry Oswestry, Oswestry

so if somebody could find the full 1871 census to go with Mary A that would be most helpful

Frances

Frances Report 6 Apr 2013 09:50

I am guessing that this is Mary's brother

1891
Evans Mary A 1865 Morda Oswestry, St Martin
Evans Joseph 1867 Morda Oswestry, St Martin

Thank you Christina, I am still trying to equate your 1871 with the other stuff I have found and it is a possible fit so perhaps the Joseph I found in the 1891 census is a red herring.
I wonder if Mary's parents are still around in 1891, she doesn't get married until the Sep quarter.

Christina(Lancashire)

Christina(Lancashire) Report 6 Apr 2013 12:05

On the 1891 index Thomas b1859 & Mary A b1865 are both with parents William & Ann.

Joseph only has one parent shown on the index...so doesn't look like he's connected.
