Joseph Stanley Hayes b: 20/10/1901 Bolton Lancashire

Trying to find his Royal navy WW2 records
Information I now have is as follows
Joseph "Stanley" Hayes served on a Cruiser HMS unknown as a Steward. He was on the Russian Convoy Duties

Have tried the following site but not found http://www.forces-war-records.co.uk/#
is there any other way I could find out this information.

WW2 records are probably still with the MOD and will cost £30 and many months to access.

You need to look for and read this section on the page that opens:

"Request for Service records of deceased Service personnel"
