I have found the following for my ancestor who does not appear to of married. Any help. Unsure yet why she is here.

Hi Mark - who were Mary's parents? Might help us when looking at possible records.

Is that definitely "your" Mary's birthdate? (There was a Mary Crompton in USA of similar age, who was British, but she was married).

I don't want to start churning out loads of records if it's possible to narrow it down ....

Could you clarify, was she born Mary Barford and you think she might have married a Crompton?

I'm puzzled as to why you thought she'd never married when, apart from the detail I posted above, the marriage is on FreeBMD:

So the death record you found is your Mary. I can open the FindaGrave link but there's no info on it, other than birth and death dates.
