Hi, is anyone free to check the 1841 census for me please.
I'm looking for a Arabella Sweetingham born 1822/23. Believe she was christened on 20.4.1823 in St Mary, Southampton. Parents should be a Benjamin and Mary Sweetingham.
Arabella married a James Scorey in 1846 in Southampton, so I am trying to find her on a the 1841 census before this marriage.
Many thanks, Sarah

There is something about her in a Hampshirenewspaper in 1838 but although I should be able to download the page the site won't let me do it at the moment. I will keep trying.

Arabella was only a witness to two sheets being stolen from her neighbours line. But she was still in Hampshire on 07/04/1838

The probate record makes sense as one of her sons was called Charles William John Scorey.
Gees......Alexander given the death penalty - scary stuff.

Going to look into the free ancestry trial
