Having a spot of trouble tracing her parents.
Sophia born 16 Sep 1821 and baptised 27 Oct 1833 St Mary Newington. Parents were Benjamin and Sophia Cornes nee Crosby who were married 31 Oct 1819 at St Leonard Shoreditch. Problem is that both had been married previously.
The only previous Benjamin marriage that I could find was Benjamin and Susanah Worthington 18 Aug 1804 Dover. Susanah parents were Edward Wothington and Sarah Ashman. There is a burial for Susanah Ashmore(?) Cornes 24 Mar 1808 Dover. Not convinced that this is correct Benjamin. Have found nothing re Sophia Crosby.
