Maybe George's death, New Forest covers Lyndhurst. So...were they in Lyndhurst in 1911 mis-spelt ot not entered on the census.

What was the address on the birth cert, out of interest? But to be honest I think they are just missing.
What sort of porter was he? Railway? Maybe they were in Scotland!! Just kidding.

Dea
I thought it might be her too...quite a few years older than her spouse then ?

A tree on Ancestry has them marrying in Minstead, which if correct would tie in with that.

Do you have any idea of when and where Mary was born or the names of her parents ?

Kitty

Were there any later children?
I couldn't see any obvious ones with that surname combination when I was looking on freeBMD for clues to possible location.

I wondered if they had been mistranscribed eg. GEORGE b.Wiltshire

Not found them so far........

I wondered that too. As a last attempt, have you done a search for the address on John's birth cert?

Thanks for trying Jan

I see he is on a lot of Ancestry trees - and nobody else seems able to locate them!
He was a porter 1901 - do you have his occupation when his son was born?
