The John Harris birth is definitely there:-

Name: HARRIS, John
Registration district: Droitwich
County: Worcestershire
Year of registration: 1858
Quarter of registration: Oct-Nov-Dec
Mother's maiden name: Not available before 1911 Q3
Volume no: 6C
Page no: 345

and Henry:-

Name: HARRIS, Henry
Registration district: Droitwich
County: Worcestershire
Year of registration: 1858
Quarter of registration: Oct-Nov-Dec
Mother's maiden name: Not available before 1911 Q3
Volume no: 6C
Page no: 345

Are you sure you asked for the correct year? I know in the past I have mistakenly typed 1900 instead of 1800. Did you put in the correct quarter - Dec. qtr.?

Belinda,

Although civil registration began in 1837 it was not until 1874 that registering a birth became compulsory. Consequently many births were never registered during the intervening years.

FMP is unlikely to have different birth register records from any other site since all sites transcribe their records using exactly the same basic records.

Following on from my recent request for births for John and Henry Harris, Droitwich, 1858. I have tried twice to obtain birth certificate and twice been declined as not found. I have been advised to look on find my past site and see if it comes up with another reference. I have asked for volume 6C page 345 . Any ideas?

Thanks Belinda.
