How old was Beatrice when she died in 2012?

Looking back and that Beatrice married Stear in 1940........

Beatrice didn't marry Wright until 1948 so this appears to be Rosina's original birth entry...

England & Wales, Birth Index, 1916-2005
about Rosina E Stear
Name: Rosina E Stear
Mother's Maiden Surname: Steggall
Date of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec 1946
Registration district: Shoreditch
Inferred County: London
Volume Number: 5d
Page Number: 778

Her birth must have been reregistered under the name of Wright as the Vol and Page numbers are the same.

Meaning her Father was actually Frederick S Stear?

Fredk

for heavens' sake

You are not alone .................

I am also retired, rather ancient, and not in too good health!

I cannot go to Record Offices because I don't live in the UK ....... so I also, like many others, have to rely on the internet.

I can, however, afford to have a sub to other sites, other than the Standard membership that I have on here.

............ and I have been more than willing to share those subs with others by being a Helper on this site for the last 9 years

I merely asked a question to clarify something that seemed a bit muddy to me!

I would phrase questions differently if it is you looking, or you looking for someone else.

I would ask you "Have you bought the marriage certificate"

OR, I would ask "Has your friend bought the marriage certificate?"

In the latter case, I would not be expecting you to come back with a yes or a no.

If the answer was "yes", I would not expect you to come back immediately with the names of fathers, witnesses etc.

In other words ................ it helps the other helpers if you say why.

Just for infomation I am retired and rather ancient with poor health. One of my hobbies is Family History and localy I give free advice to anyone who asks. I can no longer go to record offices so use the internet. I can only afford one subsciption and that is with GR.

We ALL give help to others

I am in no way suggesting that your post is inappropriate.

I'm just a little uncertain as to who originally asked the question?

It is common to say "I am looking for information to help (eg, a relative, a friend, someone on GR wall on FB)"

Then we helpers know what we are looking for.

and we also know what we can ask the poster on here!

It has also, I am afraid to say, occasionally happened that a professional researcher has asked for help on GR, got loads of it for free .............. then charged the client for work done for free.

It has made some of us very wary!

NOTE ............. I am not in any way accusing you of this, just explaining what may have coloured my attitude towards people asking for help when it is unclear whether they are asking for themselves, or for someone else.
