Hi Does anyone know of any English/Chinese chat sites on which people of mixed race may go to swap information?

We are looking at a family where the father was Chinese and the mother was English - they married in Liverpool and had 2 children. One died as a baby b1943 but the other born 1948 survived.
The parents split and mum remarried and has since passed away. We are unable to find any info about the Chinese father or the son - no marriages or deaths after that so dont know what happened to them.

Father was Sing O YEE b apx 1923 (wife Beryl DUE b1923)
Children: Jung M YEE 1943 L/pool. Died 1944 in Manchester,
Brynley C YEE Mar qtr 1948 Salford

It is Sing and Brynley we are trying to find.

Any info greatly received. Thanks
Cas :-S :-S

Wow Thanks Gins! We did assume he had left England after he and wife split.
His son Brynley b1948 is not found on any marriages or deaths etc so we wonder if he also left England with his father?

Thanks ever so much for the info

Cassie ;-)

Thanks Gins
The info about Sing's arrival fits as he did marry in Liverpool shortly after this. His name on marriage was Sing O YEE so Im sure this is the right one.

The Pan Am death may be him but as you say we cant be sure.

Thanks anyway for the info. He married in 1943 Liverpool had sons in 1943 and 1948 after that he split with his wife so may have left England any time after that and who knows where he went? Cant find any deaths for him here.

Thanks for your help its much appreciated
cassie :-)

I guess the next thing would be to look for an obit and maybe even try and get a copy of the death certificate.

The US have different laws in their States, some certs are easier to get than others

When did Beryl die?

CasCas

CasCas Report 17 Apr 2013 18:01

Beryl died in 1975 Isle of Man. By then she was in her 2nd marriage and was Beryl Davies. I have just managed to trace her step daughter who said Beryls children died.
I found one Jung b 1943 died 1944 But 2nd the second son Brynley b1948 I an unable to find a death for and hes not on the public lec roll. I suspect he may have been adopted or gone away with his father?
