Hi all, I am desperately trying to trace my husband's Scottish relations. His father's name is James (Jim) McEwan, born October 1932. His parents were Robert & Isabelle and he had a brother named Adam and a sister Isabel who married John Murdoch. I would appreciate any help at all.

Many thanks

Scottish info can be found on Scotland's people website

It is pay-to-view. so lookups are not on offer

Once you know the birth years and parents' names of the grandparents, you should be able to find them in censuses, which are on FMP and Ancestry (up to 1901)
1911 census is ONLY on SP

The marriage cert for Robert & Isabelle will give you the necessary details

I think your next step is to buy some credits on SP and thence get Robt & Isabella's m.cert - this would name their parents, and you should be able to find them in 1911, most likely.
