Buy the death certificate to see if the informant was a family member.
Then get back to us if more help required.

Hi Bernie

You need to give us the info you have and the info that you wish to find?

I suspect the birth for Catherine is written in Latin

The mothers maiden name for John's birth was 'Gribbin'

You may have to wait a long time, unfortunately, as people do not always keep in touch with genes.

That death certificate may be better as there are one or two possible marriages, but nothing that looks definitely like him.

Were you aware of any cousins?

patchem Report 21 Apr 2013 15:06

Use the Search/Search All trees tab above, top right, and enter his name and year of birth into the boxes to see if he is in other people's trees.

patchem Report 21 Apr 2013 14:54

The death certificate will give you the name of the informant who may be a relative.

Have you contacted anyone on genes who has him in their tree?

Gins Report 21 Apr 2013 14:17

Would this be him?

England & Wales, Death Index, 1916-2006

Birth Date: 30 Oct 1919
Date of Registration: Jan 1986
Age at Death: 66
Registration district: Halton

He appears to have a lot of siblings. Are you wanting to find living relatives or ancestors?
