thanks Ann but we are not looking for online look-ups on this thread - they are correct (except Peter 1800 - different branch) but we have them all on the one I gave a link to.

We are just asking for a look up at Cheshire Records Office for a record which is not on-line

thanks Pam. We did find those 2 but are not convinced. They lived in Burtonwood after marriage (marriages not on-line anywhere that we have found). Also the registers for Great Sankey where Ellen was born are also not on line.

There are a number of Peter Whitfields and Ellen is a common name of the time so would like to eliminate these 2 churches from the search.

Jan - the 2 churches were in Lancs at the time but as they are now in Cheshire the majority of records are held at Cheshire Achives rather than Lancs.

Peter was born in 1785 Lancashire
Ellen was born in 1791 Sankey.

Burtonwood and Sankey are in Lancashire.

Is there any kind soul out there who goes to the Cheshire Archives office who would be willing to do a couple of look-ups please?
