Finally (I think!?) I have started to join up the dots. Although there are still a few dots missing that will finish the drawing..... It all appears to start with Catherine Pallett and her illegitimate son, William Pallett (1811) in Cadeby. He then appears with HIS wife (?) Catherine in Walsall with their children - all of whom were baptised ... Pallett Douse (or variant) Pallett appearing as a second Christian name as opposed to a double-barrelled surname. Where the Douse connection comes in I simply cannot solve... as William's illegitimate sister, Sophia Pallett, also wed, in 1830, but there is no mention of the Douse name connected with her... so, whether William married a Catherine Douse?? I cannot find any record of it... All I know (from census returns) is that she was born 1810 in Polesworth, Warwickshire. I understand that genealogy is filled with mystery and intrigue but this one is frustrating me... haha!!
