Hi Susanne, yes there does seem to be 2 each of Henning and Ragnor but if you read carefully what has been posted it looks like we've positively identified the ones which are yours.

Thank you all to helped dont know where to go i suggested to Eric it may pay for him to send for hennings death certicate would that give his parents infornatin his dad hennings brother has parents unknown on his death certificate. i have tried to find something on Hennings wife Jaertina Lind . Eric remembers he thinks meeting her once after Hennings death she moved to California from new York.

I'm afraid I don't know anything about ordering US death certificates, or what info is on them, but someone else on here might.

I don't know if we can be sure that this is the same person. The birthdate differs from that on the naturalisation (22 Jul 1897). I can't find Valsøfjorden on a map to see if it's near Kristiansund.

Her status of "tj" means she was a servant to the family, marital status "ug" means she was single and "Tjenestepige" is a maid.

She was a shopkeeper when she went to US, but that was 13 years later.

Susanne, so that we can try to tie Carl Ejene to Ragnor and Henning, can you tell us any more about him? His occupation, wife, date of birth - anything like that.

We might be able to find some records that pull everything together.

Hi there everybody, wow you ladies are just great. i will have to ask eric tomorrow on his dad and mum. all i know he was Carl Ejene arrived 1918 through ellis island to New York. he was a sailor to and travelled the world know he had a daughter Margaret not sure sweden or denmark. cant remember his mums name she married twice think her last name Bushyfrom 2nd husband she came from rochester new york. they moved to San Fransico Carl left the sea when Eric born1954. His mum died first and Carl died later. they are both buried. i will find more tomorrow. Thanks all again. I believe kristina Modditter as you have named Hennings mum came from Urshilt district of Sweden. also Eric told me Ragner was a drinker and a lot in hospital and died a pauper in new york somewhere..
