Do you have baptisms for the two sons? If not, bear in mind Eliza might not be their mother.

Charles may have been married more than once.

On the image for the marriage of Charles jnr. his father Charles is a Merchantile clerk.
This could well be a shipping agent........

Sorry Mel, I don't understand your comments.
The man I found has father Christopher and a son called Christoper, so it seems more than possible that he has a brother Christopher too?
Also he was born in 1797, and CHRISTENED in 1811. A person shown as aged 40 in the 1841 census could certainly have been born between 1796 and 1801.
I'm not saying that the one I have found is definitely right but I don't understand your reasons for discounting him.

I am looking for a marriage for Charles Bedford b1796/7 to an Eliza in the Bristol area please.

I can't get on Familysearch now they have changed it.

Their first child was born in Middx Charles Beford 1826 I think and then Christopher Bedford 1828.

I have the couple on the census's but was hoping for the marriage.

Charles senior was a Ship Agent.

Thanks Mel
