Date of Registration: Jan 2004 could also include people who died at the end of December 2003 - Reg offices have peculiar opening hours over the Bank Holiday period and it's not unknown for there to be a 2 week delay in appointments to register an event.

£9.25 for a DC from Gro is a lot cheaper than the £29 look up fee!
Was that for a commercial organisation, or the local library to search the historic ER? They are also likely to make a charge & the addresses are only searchable be address

Electrol roll is included in the Find my Past full subscription, although not as good as 192.com or people tracer as it does not give post codes which can be hit and miss if you find an address like Hight street

I don't know what census you have found him on? as the most recent one available is 1911
