Terry posted on that thread on genealogy chat (link posted by MC above) ....................

the following information which MAY be of use in helping to trace them........

Thomas,
from his marriage cert.it says William was living at 5,St.James St.G'Head.
His Father's name was John Robinson also a Coalminer.Isabella was living at 10,Jackson St,G'Head. Her Father was Thomas Hardy,Brickburner.I'm fairly new to genealogy but seems strange not one of a family of 4 appear to be recorded in the 1901 Census. There was a third child,George,b.1904,(the year Isabella remarried ),
with William as the father.Hope this is helpful.

-------------------

Terry .............. this is why GR includes in its T&Cs that there should be no more than ONE posting per family ...............

having multiple posts requesting the same information means that people are looking at 3 different threads, and finding bits and pieces of the puzzle ........... and duplicating searches.

It makes it very difficult for us, the helpers.

I would usually recommend deleting the duplicated threads, and just leaving this one ........... the reason being that this thread has more replies form helpers.

BUT Thomas has provided some information on the thread on Genealogy Chat, and that makes it more difficult!

Kemp

I don't think anyone has been able to find them ................... I certainly haven't

That's why we've been going round the houses trying to find alternate ways to possible get a link that could help with the 1901

I know I was hoping that another helper would pick up on the references I posted, and be able to see something that I couldn't see that would lead to breaking down the wall.

I can now only suggest the following possibilities ...................

a) mistranscribed so badly that they are hidden ............ eg, by being given the wrong surname (eg, being attached to a neighbour)

I did try searching by forenames only ....... including for children with only mother or only father, forenames only.

b) adopted a different name for some reason

c) got missed on the census ............. accidentally or deliberately

there could be a possibility that they were not in the country for the 1901, for some reason
