Sue - what you do is to go to "My Threads" under Tools on the left and find your original thread. You then select the original thread and just add a new post to the bottom. You then go to the very first post on that thread and click "edit" - that enables you to amend the thread title to reflect there is an updated request.

I'll add links to the other thread so that helpers don't go and research Henning and his other brothers again.

Sounds like you're making good progress :-)

I'm not seeing anything for her after arrival yet - do you know if she stayed in the US? If she left then there may not be a record of that.

There is another Clara Lind from Sweden born 1890, arrived 1914 and living Montana so we have to be careful not to get mixed up with her.

Sue, I'm not finding a match for a 1918 arrival for Tage Lind, could you confirm the name of the ship?

Been looking on this site, but there are too many 'Lind' names to say if any of yours are listed

http://www.italiangen.org/VRECLIST.stm

Marriages in the NY Boroughs in some cases up to 1937 & Deaths to 1948. It's a work in progress.

Found him - he wasn't coming up on the index.

He was listed as Tage Healger Lind, a seaman on the Siljan.

There is nothing at all to suggest that he was leaving the ship to live in USA, he is just recorded as crew on a ship arriving there.
