Find Ancestors

HI there,

I am looking for any information about the Storey family, who lived in Bridlington in the 1820s - 1860s.
. In the 1861 census I find the family: Victor Josh Storey, profession painter and artist, born in Hull in 1804, and his wife Martha Storey from Kirkham, Yorkshire, and their daughter Ann Storey born in Bridlington in 1835 and grandchildren.

However I haven't been able to track down any further information about them, from any other census or birth or death records, apart from the confirmation of Ann's birth in 1835 in Bridlington

Looking at the original image I'd say it WAS Doctor Storey and I think the first name is Joseph. I also think the wife's name is Maria, not Martha.

Thats an amazing amount of information.
A Doctor/painter in this family is quite a turn up for the books.... most of my family of that generation were barely educated. If he indeed was a Dr I am wondering if there were some records somewhere... where or how did one train to become a Dr in the 1820s?

I think it's just his first name - if you check Freebmd, there are loads of entries with this name.
