Thank you, based on the childrens names I think Darlington family is the most likely. Elizabeth's father was called Francis and her mother was called Alice and she had a brother called Robert and a sister called Ann, or is it wishful thinking on my part :-)

Have you any idea of her husband's occupation? How did you work your way back to them?

Hello Jan, I don't know anything about her husband just that they married in 1838. On 1871 it says born Siyston which I think is mis spelt and should be Sigston as in Kirby Sigston so I think it is them.

Been looking on the 1881 census which agains says she was born Foxton which I have just googled and it is close by Kirby Sigston. She is living with her son and his family.
