Find Ancestors

Hello All, I have tried with this search some time ago and wasn't very successful,so I thought maybe I would be lucky this time with the help of all the good folks on this site.
I have a David Weatherhead born in South Shields in 1876,I know his mother and father and siblings...but am stumped as to who he married and where he got to.

On the 1891 census he is with a wife Jane in a lodging house in South Shields Durham.I cant find a marriage for them nor can I find them together in 1911 census.

I have found one David Weatherhead that could be mine in Sunderland (1911) but no Jane with him...I cant find a death for Jane or David.And no children.

Can anyone spot them please?

Saying that they were married is no proof that they were...................

If he was born in 1876 then I doubt that he had a wife in 1891 (although I know it's possible).

Where exactly were they in 1891 as I can't find them on Findmypast? If you could give the address it would be helpful.

I have to go out shortly but someone else may be able to help.

EDIT - I see it was the 1901 census where they were together.

How did you work back to David?

I suspect that 1891 should read 1901............!!

His YOB is different on every census...not unusual, of course

Sorry Reggie, Maddie, and Kath you are right it was the 1901 census not the 1891.

You do have the right David Weatherhead that I am searching for.

So Maddie if this one is mine he must have been a naughty boy...I have his Army Papers from find my past and it says his conduct while serving was BAD...so this could well be him
Will I find this on Findmypast...I dont have a sub for Ancestry.

NO wonder I cant find him,this one is in SOUTHAMPTON in a ship yard doing the same kind work in the 1901..his birth place is different but I wondered if it could be him.

My searching is rubbish.......any chance of a few lessons for this useless woman

Yes I do think I have the right army papers I only found them to day.

It says his next of kin is David Weatherhead of 12 Foster Street South Shields.

I will have to go back and re read them to look for dates

As he named his father as NOK................he was either unmarried......or widowed.

No sign anywhere of a marriage......so I suspect the former would apply
