trying to find birth- can anyone help please?

Please can anyone help me find the birth reg of Michael a g thorn - probably Devon? around 1938 . (have marriage in 1959 - which gives these middle initials) have tried free bmd but not there

Do you actually have the marriage cert or just found the registration details ?

Have you ruled out the birth in 1940 with only one middle initial

Not yet- I'm going to try and dig my mum's mind again tomorrow- and see if she can remember any siblings too-that may help- or maybe his parents christian names- she may just remember. Thanks very much anyway - was just hoping for an easy find :-)

Do you know his parents' names? Particularly his mother's?
Perhaps your Mum knows?

They are both on the ER living in Devon and he is only using middle inital of A

His wife has a tree on here,. have you tried to contact her? she was born 1936

Buy the marriage cert..........for factual info about him, and his father's name (if known)

Perhaps his name at birth wasn't Thorn...............

Thamks everyone! I didn't expect all that! I'd kind of given up-tyhat's why I marked as answered as didn't want anyone to go round in cirles on my behalf. My mum HAS mentioned some of the other names-so will look into it all-thanks very again for your generous help :-)
