Places of birth on the 1881. If she came after Kate, she was probably born in England not Ireland.

Hi just checked her marriage certificate age given is 23 being born 1867 , but she died in 1909 4th qtr birth as 1863 age of death is given as 46 ,the 1911 census gives her husband being widowed,the 1901 census has nora ryan born 1867 but as a sister my niece & i belive this could be a mistake ? ,& the 1891 census gives her being 24 yrs old born 1867 her name being nora ryan fulham london. geoffreywalter.

Don't take too much notice of slight discrepancies in recorded ages.

People weren't as age-obsessed then as they are now.

Your best bet is to obtain the cert of the birth posted above, and check the father's details. It tallies exactly with the 1891 census for the woman.

Until 1875, there were no penalties in England/Wales for not registering births, which meant that many of them went unrecorded

The one certainty is that she would have been baptized..............

Did you give them the reference number, year and quarter and the name just as it was recorded on the index??
