OK................clean slate.........

But please don't delete in future............the info doesn't take up any space on your computer.

Now, what are you looking for?

In which record have you 'found' etc..as per your opening post?

I originally looked for a John Standen who was born in Hapton which is between Accrington and Burnley in 1791 he married a Dinah Ingham abt 1811 in Padiham There is a church at Hapton but the records dont go that far back so it wont give him or his parents.
Jean.

I remember giving you details about the church.......and its origins

Have you used that info to search?

Did you take notice of the date when the Hapton Church was opened?

You've had so many threads about sundry Standens/Standings it's difficult to keep track

Is the Standen/Ingham marriage your PROVEN direct line?

Yes I have noticed that the Hapton Church was not in service in the 1700/1800s so the Standens from Hapton must have been baptized elsewhere. I am told by someone that in those days the vicar did the rounds of the various churches and it depended on where he was and that was were you would be baptised at.
