***alviegal*** thanks for that, very interesting and looking at various items about Barrachnie it would seem to be the correct place name as opposed to the Brachney I had, whether this will assist me trace details of William Reid and Janet Cunningham only time will tell.

I have just finished having a good look around various sites related ro the village of Barrachnie but nothing of any relevance found in regards to Janet Cunningham or William Reid :-(

mgnv - thanks for the links, interesting, will be spending a bit of time on SP today trying to trace information on William Reid and a Janet Cunningham/Cuningham, without using up to many credits.
