Thanks all for your replies..so much great info, can't wait to get started.
I have worked in this bakery for over 2 years, the current owners had been there for over 20 years and no one knows anything about the history of the building or the Raven family.

Not too sure whereabouts you live

But I too had ancestors from this area and discovered by visiting that you should also take a look at Mountnessing.

They are so close and I found mine listed under both at different times.

Found a wonderful family butchers in Mountnessing (1 of only 5 shops)

Looking for any info about the Raven family or the bakery that still has their name at 68 High St Ingatestone? The local historical society knows nothing of the history of this old shop either. It would be nice to share some history, if only I knew where to find it.
