Find Ancestors

Hello All please can you help me find any BMD for Charlotte.
The 1851 census shows Father Thomas Butcher c1809,Mother Margaret c1821 and daughter Charlott aged 7 months living in Betnnal Green.
The parents were in fact Samuel Pont Butcher (1807) and wife Sarah Margaret Butcher née Soilleux (1820.
I can find no birth,marriage or death records for Charlotte.I know registration was not required by law until the seventies but I also know that you have come up with answers in the past that I have missed.

Why do think that the child was not with her own parents at such a tender age?

If you can't find any info...........how do you prove your statement about the identity of her parents?

The child was with her parents.I was just pointing out the correct details for her parents.
Mother Margaret on the 1841 census was actually baptised in the name of Sarah Margaret.

Re-reading your post......not sure which 1851 census you refer to....................

The parents on 1851 are clearly SAMUEL and MARGARET

So what was your question?

Thank you for the replies. I have the Pont Butcher family details.I was just wanting to order a BMD certificate for Charlotte but without a bmd index or more details of her ,such as a marriage I'm stuck

The wife was listed as Margaret on the census because that is what her husband called her............

Sadly,you can't have what doesn't exist

Who registered the deaths of her parents?

Have you looked for a baptism?

Hi Wendy I can't see a birth registered either, there is a possible baptism in 1855 about a mile from Bethnal Green,

Shame, but the Charlotte baptised in 1855 was born 21 Feb 1855 so couldn't be on the 1851 census. Also, the father was a shoemaker.
