Mary Wakefield b1929 & her sister Pamela b1928 both reg in Newbury. Father Stephen Wakefield b1880 & mother Sarah J Smallbone b1890 both from Welford Berks. Sarah died in 4 qtr 1930 . Stephen died in 1955 his address at that time was 64 Cheap St, Newbury. At the time of his death Pamela was a spinster.
I have found a photo of Mary's wedding , I was a bridesmaid aged about 7yrs old, but have no other information.
My question is, who did Mary marry ? I have two possibles ...
Wakefield Mary to Alexander M Stirling 4th qtr 1951 Newbury
Wakefield Mary to George L Grant 2nd qtr 1952 Newbury.
Stephen was my grandfathers brother, very interested if anyone knows of them. Thank you Yvonne

there's a son born to Grant/Wakefield in 1956 in Newbury, so possibly married George Grant ?

Shirley, the only bit's of that day I can remember , was going upstairs on the double decker bus at the front, not something we did often , from Reading to Newbury. And the other was getting onto my dress, sure it was pink, and having my hair pulled into tight pigtails ! It was in Newbury I'm sure.
