Thank you PricklyHolly, now I'm really confused as I got my info from the 1871 census and I am really researching Catherine Rickard b.1862 and it shows her father as being William Rickard b1824 Shipton, Buckinghamshire.
, the same as you found with the surname Rutland but with different children to my 1871 census.
Can any one make sense of it?.
Thanks for all your help. Dorothy

I'm looking for information regarding William Rickard b1824 buckinghamshire, who did he marry, where was she from?. Children I think are Mary Ann 1850, but not sure, can't find 1861 census, then
charlotte 1858
thomas 1860
catherine 1862
henry 1865
then archibald 1871, who does he belong to
and then Williams wife is no longer there, where and when did she die?
I know the family were in shropshire at the turn of 1900's.
I'm having difficulty with the new lay out of genes reunited, preferred the old one.
Any help will be gratefully accepted. Thank you. Dorothy
