I have found William pope he was b 1816 in Ashford Kent England,and died December 1848. He married Frances Andrews on the 20th March 1837 in St Mary North Canterbury Kent England

William was a blacksmith...Can anybody suggest how I find the names of his parents ? I note that William Pope appears several times, but does not appear to be the William Pope I am looking for.

I would suggest that he was born somewhat earlier than 1818............the 1837 marriage was his second............and his age in 1841 was at least 25

My money would be on the baptism safc posted.................
