Looking for John Stewart born in Plockton, Lochalsh on the 21st of October 1897, parents Alexander Stewart and Christina Matheson.
He was brought up in Maryburgh, Ross Shire and joined up with the 4th Btn Seaforth Highlanders. He seen action in France and was still in the Army in 1921 based at The Rosslyn Barrack Edinburgh.
I believe he lived in England but I have no idea where. he had a brothers, Ken , William , Duncan and Angus who was killed n the war. He also had sisters Mary, Effie and Molly who he used to write regularly.
