Where did you find the information that he changed his name to Mike (Michael?) West?
Have you any further information about his second family, such as when they were born, and whether he married the mother?

Did Maurice have a middle name such as Henry ?

Did he marry Alice in 1924 ? Five possible children to that marriage including a Raymond

Just wondering about a possible death on CWGC and a probate record in the name of Maurice Henry Carter - no think that is the wrong man

do not other name both born thirty here father left them
change his name' to Mike West move to London had a nuther
family then disappeared.please can any one help trace any
