Find Ancestors

Sorry for the delay and the confusion over the name. I had a problem with my computer and although I saved the info GR closed their FT program so I had nowhere to download it to.

The confusion over the names arose because I copied and pasted the message I submitted for Charles Corby line, and forgot to change the reference from Charles Corby to Benjamin Powell. I have the same problem with both lines and unable to trace the birth or place of birth of Charles and Benjamin or their wives.

I would be over the moon if anyone could help me find these missing links as I have run out of ideas.

Your opening post says Benjamin's father was also Benjamin
But now you say the father was Charles

He also can't have been born and married same year....

and I don't understand this ...

thanks for your offer of help. I tried the web address you quoted, but it only got me to Ancestry. I am a member but I could not see where to go next. I am 77 and a bit new to searching like this.

Benjamin Abt 1785 m Mary Edwards in St Mary's Church, Brecon on 3 Nov 1805.
1841 Census- shows 3 children, John 1808 ; Benjamin 1811 ; William 1816, but it does not give Charles place of birth. I have just found the death of 'a' Benjamin Powell aged 37 and buried in St Mary's Church, Brecon on 9 Dec 1818, but have not as yet authenticated it as our Benjamin.

Benjamin Jul 1811 is my G/G/Grandfather. He married Elizabeth Jenkins b 1811 from Llandovery, Carm., on 10 Dec 1832 and died in the workhouse , Newport, Mon on 4 Nov 1892,

They had the following children

Hi there Graham - his wife's name? or the names of any of his children?

I have the marriage record of my G/G/G/Grandfather Benjamin Powell Abt 1785. in St Mary's Church, Brecon on 3 Nov 1805. However, I am unable to find his or his wife's place of birth.
From Benjamin I have extensive records of the family, many of whom moved from Brecon to live in Llanelly Hill, Clydach, Brecs and then on to Ebbw Vale, Mon.

I would be eternally grateful if anyone can help me find the missing information.
